Missed working out today...

I was out last night with some friends and didn't get back home till late. Then I had work at 2 so I slept in to work off the hang over.
I'm not trying to be hard on myself or anything but I need to practice a bit more discipline. I'm doing closing tonight at work and probably wont get back home till 10, so I may just do it right before bed. We will see.

My legs are still sore from doing a half hours worth of Jumping rope yesterday. I like to think that my inability to walk up a flight of stairs is a sign that this is working.

Ok, so things are going as of schedule.
Just looked at my goal list and I have been able to knock some stuff out.

May
-Eating Habits aren't perfect, but definitely improving
-Started jumping rope. Like I said earlier, it is SOOO much harder than I expected which is good. I'm going to try for 30 minutes of jump rope later today, so we will see how that goes (I tried doing it for five yesterday and was quite sweaty and exhausted)
-Bought jump rope (otherwise the previous bullet point would make no sense)
-Not only did I start doing some light workouts, but....

June
-....I began the more strenuous workouts
-And I got a new job....sort of...
its more of a supplemental income

So lets throw in some updates
June
-Continue Workouts
-Eat even BETTER!

July
-Add more reps, sets and/or weights
-Hopefully that gym membership will happen soon

August
-Harder weight training, begin building muscle

Sept/Oct
-Join School....

One down

So I got a jump rope

Apparently Im not as good or coordinated as I remember being.....then again I was never all that good at jump rope.
Tracking my progress should be easy, Ill be better when I stop sucking

Chilling at home with a half hour before ECW, which has got to be one of the best hours of tv. Plenty of untapped talent that is just a pleasure to watch (though Elijah Burke could definitely use a bigger push than he's been getting).
Last nights Raw was pretty interesting
-Mr. McMahon is giving away cash at live events. I give it a month before it replaces the kiss cam and another before they drop it.
-Ted Dibiase Jr. finally made his way to Raw... so the Sanlito/Cartino tag title push is dead then?
-And on that note, doesn't TDjr. need a partner before he goes for tag gold? Maybe the "Canadian Bulldog" for a run-into-the-ground-run of "Oooh looky, next generationers!"

Aha! an Obstruction!

Working in a coffee shop is not conductive to my plan.

Part of this whole "getting fit" thing involves eating right, but when all I got around me is free coffee cake, pastries and sugar filled lattes, my choices are quite limited.

Also missed excercising for the past three days. I've been waking up later than I like, and so i miss having the time. If I'm gonna get this ball rolling Im going to need to throw down on the discipline.

I may be getting a job that is more hands on though. Which will be good because the more I move the more I burn. Damn this whole turning life around thing is hard.....who knew

Wrestlerants

-William Regal gets suspended. God freaking dammit. Its always during the most interesting feuds. I loved the idea of Mr. Reagal becoming the next Mr. McMahon like character, and no matter what Reagal does he is always a blast to watch. That's why this blows. I really hope he comes back from his suspension with a bang and continues his momentum. I can't imagine he would head back to mid-card obscurity but who knows.

-I have a man-crush on Kofi Kingston. Seriously, every time I see him wrestle I am on the edge of my seat. Ability, personality, he's full of it. So now I'm worried. I understand he couldn't be undefeated forever. That would be retarded. And I am quite happy Shelton Benjamin beat him, because lord knows Shelton is full of talent and deserves the push too.
I worry because now that Kofi has lost his first match, I am already getting glimpses of him being pushed into the background. I have this nasty feeling that he is gonna be thrown into the jobber hell which Nunzio, Brian Kendrick and Super Crazy reside.
Lance Cade, you may want to be careful too.

-This past Impact! was the first one I truly enjoyed in a while. Outside of the cluster fuck that was the "The Rock & Rave Wedding Band audition" and Awesome Kongs match, it was pretty solid. I'm really starting to dig Matt Morgan. The guy bored the hell out of me in the WWE, but his TNA push is pretty solid. I see major good coming from him in the future.

-Kennedy is a face.....and its getting over......who saw THAT coming?

Current goals

Ok, so lets get my first steps in order. I'm working on a 3 month goal system. I think first things first I need to lose some flab and start getting healthy before I build on muscle (rather not be hiding it under fat).

Soooo....
May
-Plan out and fix my eating habits
-Start Cardio (jump rope, Hiking, Running, etc)
-Buy a Jump Rope (I live in L.A. near compton, its the smartest choice)
-Begin Light work out. Not too much, just some simple things to get my body used to the work.

June
-Begin Excercise routine. I found a good schedule that I can use as a base through MensHealth.com. Being that I know very little about excercise, using this as a guide might be a good start.
-Find new job. I am making diddly squat right now, and eventually I am going to need a gym membership (possibly a trainer) and start taking classes. I can hardly afford rent so the sooner this happens the better.

July
-Get gym membership.

I'm sure there will be more added as time goes on, but these are my short term goals as of right now. Armed with 2 free weights and a dirty floor, this gym shall improve slowly

Introducing the challenger

Ladies and Gentlemen
Now making his way to the ring
Weighing in at.....

To have those phrases precede my stats as I enter an arena filled with fans, getting ready to defend a title is definitely a dream for me. But lets start from the beginning:

Hi, my name is Scrapz (no thats not my real name) and I want to be a pro wrestler.
according to most people thats kind of rediculous. Downright stupid to some. However it is something I have always wanted to do, whether I realized it sometimes or not.

Since kindergarten I have been a performer. I would do anything to entertain whoever would listen. And for as long as I loved entertaining others, I loved watching wrestling. I felt like I was watching real life superheroes battle it out. Colored costumes, big muscles, masks, super powers (Undertaker & Papa Shango, I'm lookin at you) I loved it all. But I was always discouraged because everyone around me felt it was so low brow. I was chastised for my fandom and my parents did not want that type of life for me. So I made the next logical step, I became a theater nerd.

Fast foward to the present. I graduated with a B.A. in theater and moved to L.A. to pursue acting, but the wrestling bug never quite died. Still been a loyal fan, it hit me like a ton of bricks.

I want to be a professional wrestler

I run into a number of problems:
-I'm not all that athletic
-I don't get all that much support elsewhere
-I can barely pay rent let alone gym membership and training

But Im not gonna let that stop me. It may take some time but I will pursue and live out my dream. Thats where this blog comes in. I plan to use this as a diary to watch my progress, keep tabs on myself and tell my own story. At the same time I hope to comment on the state of the industry and the news that will happen.

So sit back and listen to the story of how I made my way to the ring unfold....
